Every home has a story, and so does every builder. At Stoddard Construction, the heart of our work begins with the life and experience of our founder, Jeff Stoddard. His journey spans decades of craftsmanship, problem-solving, and dedication—rooted in both hard work and family values.

A Lifetime of Craftsmanship & Experience

Jeff’s career began in cabinetmaking, where he spent 15 years perfecting the art of detail and precision. That foundation in craftsmanship taught him the importance of quality materials, functionality, and timeless design.

From there, he went on to work for Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer and bridge inspector for 23 years. Covering routes from Roseville, California up through Mount Shasta and across to Elmo, Nevada, Jeff learned the importance of structure, safety, and organization at the highest level.

Even during his railroad years, Jeff continued building as a general contractor, designing and managing projects that reflected his commitment to both strength and beauty.

Building Roots in Idaho

In 2020, Jeff and his family made the move from Northern California to Idaho, where they planted roots and expanded Stoddard Construction into the Garden Valley, Crouch, and Treasure Valley communities.
